Patty Jenkins Not Signed On Yet For 'Wonder Woman 2'

Making north of $220+ million dollars at the film's opening weekend worldwide, Wonder Woman is bound to get a sequel.

But as of right now, one thing is not set in stone, bar the film's lead actress, Gal Gadot, having the option for Wonder Woman 2 as part of her deal with Warner Bros. to appear in several DC films, Patty Jenkins' return has not been finalised.

Jenkins, Wonder Woman's director, has been revealed via The Hollywood Reporter, to only have a one picture deal with the studio not a multiple film one. With that, her role as helmer for the sequel is still in limbo. In all likelihood, Jenkins will be brought in for the film, although at a steep price as her representatives - CAA, Anonymous Content and Jackoway Tyerman - are likely to raise her wage.

In the same line of thinking a sequel to the smash hit film may not be immediately made, as the studio has not only other DC films - The Flash, Cyborg, Green Lantern Corps, and many more - to finance and schedule but also other projects Warner Bros. has in their docket.
